Inhaler technique videos

Medication nonadherence and inappropriate inhaler use are common barriers to effective management of respiratory diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Healthcare professionals play an important role in educating patients on correct inhaler techniques and in promoting medication adherence. Click on the relevant inhaler device for a short video on the correct inhaler technique and share it with your patients.

Important:

Educate patients on the correct inhaler technique using these videos as a guide.
Advise patients to review their inhaler technique frequently and assess their inhaler technique regularly during follow-ups.
In addition to the selected video(s), healthcare professionals should refer to the information leaflet(s) of the prescribed inhaler(s) or spacer to facilitate education of patients on:
- Priming (preparing the inhaler or spacer for the first use, or after it has not been used for some time)
- Cleaning
- Storage
- Expiry date
